Komatsu’s American division has officially opened its doubled-in-size parts distribution centre in St. Albert — now 135,000 square feet — enabling 24-hour parts delivery across Western Canada, as reported in Taproot Edmonton’s business roundup.
The investment is a vote of confidence in greater Edmonton as the distribution gateway for Western Canada’s mining, construction, and energy equipment markets, and it materially raises customer expectations: when a global OEM can put a part on site anywhere in the West within a day, regional suppliers competing on availability need an answer.
