Pursuit Attractions and Hospitality (NYSE: PRSU), owner of the Banff Gondola, the Banff Jasper Collection hotels and the Columbia Icefield attractions, reported record second-quarter revenue of US$133.5 million, up 14% year over year, with adjusted EBITDA of US$32.7 million and adjusted net income up roughly 39%. The company raised its full-year adjusted EBITDA guidance by US$5 million to a range of US$128–138 million, and completed the sale of its non-core FlyOver business to sharpen focus on its attractions and lodging portfolio, including planned lift modernizations in Banff and Jasper.
The most useful signal for other Alberta operators sits below the headline: management noted that Canadian lodging booking pace is decelerating sequentially against tough June and July 2025 comparisons, even as U.S.-sourced pace accelerates and overall bookings remain ahead of last year. In other words, the strongest operator in the Rockies is telling the market that last summer’s exceptional domestic demand is becoming a harder bar to clear.
What it means: If the best-capitalized player in the corridor is seeing Canadian booking pace flatten, independent properties should expect the same and plan shoulder-season and winter demand generation now rather than waiting for the fall pace reports to confirm it.
